Riding lessons at Resort Orlov
Every experienced rider was once a beginner. And it is often those first experiences with horses that shape the relationship a person has with them for life. That is why our riding centre welcomes children and adults who are just getting to know horses, as well as riders with some experience who would like to keep developing their skills.
We believe riding is not just about time in the saddle. Above all, it is about mutual trust, patience and understanding between people and horses. That is why we focus not only on correct riding technique, but also on natural communication with the horse, its needs and its daily care. We want everyone to take away not only new riding experience, but also the joy of time spent together.
First steps in the saddle
If you have never sat on a horse before, that is no problem at all. You do not need any previous experience or a horse of your own. We will introduce you to everything step by step and guide you through the first stages, so that you feel comfortable and safe among the horses.
We start with how to approach a horse properly, how to communicate with it and how to look after it. You will learn the basics of grooming, preparing and tacking up a horse, and gradually move on to riding itself. Under the guidance of our instructors you will learn a correct seat, balance and the basic riding aids. Everything takes its own time, and nobody here has to compete with anyone else. We adapt the lessons to each rider's age, abilities and individual needs.
One step further with every lesson
Once you have gained some confidence and begin to feel at home in the saddle, we can move on together. The lessons build on one another and help riders develop independence, balance, correct use of the riding aids and, above all, sensitive communication with the horse.
Novice riders learn to control the horse more independently, refine their seat and gradually gain more confidence in each gait. Our aim is not only to teach you to perform each exercise correctly, but also to help you understand why and how the horse responds to your aids. Mutual understanding is the foundation of good riding.
Room for more experienced riders
The journey does not end for advanced riders either. On the contrary, growing experience opens up further ways to deepen your skills. Our trainers will work with you individually and help you work on precision, balance, lightness of the aids and your overall partnership with the horse.
Depending on your experience and interests, we can focus on more advanced dressage, gymnastic exercises or jumping training. Whether you have specific riding goals or simply want to enjoy your time with horses and keep improving, we will be happy to help you find the right path.
